The Chrysler Corporation was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925. The original 1924 Chrysler included a carburetor air filter, high compression engine, full pressure lubrication, and an oil filter, features absent from most autos at the time. Its core brands today are: Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, SRT, Fiat, and Mopar vehicles and products. Through the years Chrysler has merged with Daimer-Benz AG (1988), American Motors Corporation (1987) and Fiat in 2009. The Company is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a Detroit suburb.
